Located on the 'quietside’ of Mount Desert Island, our harbor-side cottages have spectacular views of the water from a country-garden setting. The Cottages overlook Bass Harbor and have decks, queen beds, fireplaces, saunas, living areas, full kitchens and television. The Country Inn is reminiscent of a by-gone era and offers comfortable rooms with queen beds, fireplaces, in-room refrigerators, in-room coffee and private baths. Stroll across the lawn as you mosey down to the water's edge - or launch your kayak with the tide!

| Our Carriage House has commanding views across Bass Harbor and Blue Hill Bay. This cottage offers a second floor 'under the eaves' master bedroom with a balcony and skylights, fireplace, personal skylight sauna, queen bed, television and a shower bath. The first floor has a wharf-style deck overlooking the harbor, a living area with fireplace and television, two additional guest bedrooms, a full bath and a modern kitchen with dishwasher and microwave. The Carriage House is a private, free standing cottage and is available on a housekeeping basis. Guests bring their own linen for weekly reservations - linen rental may be available, depending on the dates of your stay. |

| Guestbook: We love the Carriage House, the loon and the eagles. We hiked at Ship Harbor Nature Trail and stopped at the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse. We brought our kayaks and our bikes and the sauna in the Carriage House was terrific! We had a great vacation and will be back. |
