fragrances of lush surrounding gardens. There is also an elegant full
kitchen, jacuzzi whirlpool tub to enjoy relaxing baths looking right
into the tropical forest, beautiful slate floors and cedarwood trim
throughout. You’ll know you’re in Hawaii when you take your shower
outside in nature amidst the gardens, warm air and beautiful views.

Its location is central to the island. Drive 8 - 10 minutes down the
road to treat yourself to a delicious breakfast in Kapaa, enjoy pristine
white sandy beaches, or spend a day of shopping at the Coconut
Plantation Shopping Center. Then, leave the crowds behind and return to
your love nest, out in the rolling hills behind Kapaa.
You can walk out the door to a trailhead that takes you to Kauai’s
healing green interior. This 2 hour hike with its verdant vistas ends at
the Keahua Forestry Arboretum - a park with acres of both native and
introduced tree species including groves of painted gum trees, scattered
ohia lehua and dense tangles of hibiscus. Another beautiful walk just
three minutes drive from your door is up the Sleeping Giant. This hike
takes you around and up the Giant and from the top are breathtaking
views of Kauai’s towns, inland jungles, mountains and surrounding ocean.

| Having arrived at the Kauai airport please turn RIGHT onto the main highway, Kuhio HWY - Route 56 North. It will take you about 10 minutes to reach Wailua River. Cross the river and turn left at the traffic light into Kuamo'o Road. Take Kuamo'o Road (HWY 580) up past the Opaeke'a Waterfalls and turn right at the Wailua Country Store onto Kamalu Road (HWY 581). Take Kamalu Road to Olohena Road and turn left on Olohena. The Tea Garden Cottage is about 3/4 mile up the road, on the right hand side of the street. The cottage, which is set back from the street, is a small beige house and you'll have to enter the driveway through the two big trees on the picture. |
