Come join us at our secluded Lasqueti Island beachfront paradise, nestled in mature gardens and surrounded by 40 acres of private organic farmland, ponds, and natural forests.
Guest accommodation is in the beach house, just steps from the beach, with stunning ocean views, private deck, full kitchen facilities, and lots of rustic charm. Custom-made driftwood beds sleep four and there is plenty of room for additional tents.
Enjoy a swim on the sunny beach, explore nearby sea caves and marine parks by kayak or canoe, hike or bike to nearby nature reserves, watch otters, whales, and eagles from your private deck, or just relax under the stars in our wood-fired outdoor cedar tub. We can also arrange horseback rides and on-site massages by a registered massage therapist for you.
We are powered by alternative energy systems, use only eco-friendly materials and cleaning products, and encourage our visitors to join us in reducing our ecological footprint.
Pets are welcome, but must be under control at all times, as there is a large population of wild sheep on the island. |

The Beach House is located on a historical farmstead site, on the quiet and pristine south end of Lasqueti Island. The property has several walking trails, and the rural Lasqueti roads are great for walking and biking as there is very little traffic. There are several nature reserves to explore within easy hiking or biking distance.
Guests interested in a longer outing may want to visit the island's bakery, grocery store, and gift shop, while browsing the local farmers' roadside stands on the way. For those ready to venture out onto water there is even more to discover. The area is truly a kayakers and boaters paradise, with its rugged coastline punctuated by towering cliffs and sea caves, and its teeming marine life. Sangster Island, famous for its spring flowers and good fishing is a short paddle away, and Squitty Bay and Jedediah Island marine parks are also just around the corner, all making great destinations for a day trip or even a sunset paddle. |

The guest suite is on the upper floor of a lovingly renovated historical barn. The interior is cozy and designed to match the rustic charm of the old post-and-beam building. Large wall-to-ceiling windows on the south wall provide a spectacular view of the ocean, with the city lights of Nanaimo twinkling in the distance.
The suite has a secluded private deck, full kitchen facilities, and a wood stove with see-through glass door for chilly nights. Since the property is off-grid and powered entirely by alternative energy systems, we ask our guests not to use appliances that consume a large amount of power, such as hair dryers. Guests should also be aware that while the shower is ensuite, the toilet facilities, which use a self-contained composting system to avoid negative impact on the marine environment, are located outside. |
