Eastside is a working family sheep farm of 3000 acres, run by Alastair and Susan Cowan, in the heart of the spectacular scenery of the Pentland Hills Regional Park. The 18th century farm steading has been imaginatively converted into three character filled cottages which sit side by side on the hillside and combine old world charm with all modern conveniences yet only a 10 minute drive from Edinburgh.
Eastside Stable has a very large light sitting/dining room with a maple wood floor and wood burning stove. At one end of this spacious room, there is an oak wardrobe which conceals a very comfortable, full size double wall bed, as well as ample storage space.

| Eastside Cottages are situated just six miles from the Edinburgh City by-pass half a mile beyond Silverburn on the A702. To get to Eastside Cottages, you take the A702 or Biggar road from the Edinburgh City by-pass, the A720. You drive approximately five and a half miles southwest until you reach the village of Silverburn. You then drive straight on through the village and half a mile beyond the village, on the right hand side, you will see a bus shelter and, a few yards beyond it, a recessed field gate (where you can safely turn off the main road to open the gate). You proceed through this gate and one mile up the track you will find the cottages. |
