With Grade B Listing, Gamrie Lodge is a fine example of a four storey, Regency Buchan, former Manse dating circa.1828.
Currently undergoing restoration by the present owners, the Lodge, with it's distinctive projecting semi-circular stair tower, is set peacefully amidst lightly wooded grounds, yet commands uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside of Aberdeenshire Scotland.
Built around a private gravelled courtyard within the grounds of Gamrie Lodge, the former stables and coach house have been fully renovated to provide two luxury self-catering holiday cottages which are available throughout the year.

| Guestbook: "A note of very great thanks and appreciation for providing us with such splendid accommodation last week. Everything was as near as perfect as you can get and all in such a beautiful setting. We spent some while on the way back discussing on how it could be better and fundamentally it was the best accommodation we have had and that is said as fairly experienced travellers. Janet in desperation came up with the idea of a hair drier but only because she could not think of anything else."
Roger & Janet Toon, Church Stretton, Shropshire.{linebreak}{linebreak}
"We can't thank you enough for all your help. We all had a great time at New Year in your wonderful cottage and I'm sure that we're guests that you won't forget in a hurry."
Alton & Marvein Tait, Dounby, Orkney.
"Thank you for a wonderful location for the party. You couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. We'll be back."
Alexa & Lorna Shaw, Dunstable, Bedfordshire + 45 party guests.
"Thanks for a wonderful Christmas. The cottage was perfect down to the smallest detail. The setting was ideal for a restful recharge of the batteries, and you even managed the magic of a "White Christmas". The entire holiday was a magical experience for us both. We have recommended the cottages to everyone we know. There were not any negatives. Perfect, perfect, perfect !!! We will be back."
Maureen & Pat Geere, New Forest, Hampshire.
"Really enjoyed staying here. You've created a calm, relaxing, comfortable and special little get away from it all. Thank you - good luck with all your plans!"
Gillian Battman, St Combs, Fraserburgh.
"Thank you very much for the use of your lovely cottage. We have had holidays all over, but this has been the best yet. It was like a home from home. Your kindness has been wonderful. I do hope we will be able to return soon and wish you all the very best in renovating."
Steven & Caroline Haggerty, Comrie, Fife.
"Everyone really enjoyed their stay at the cottage and I've already recommended it to a few people that I know would appreciate the quality and location."
Andrew Richert, Aberdeen.
"Our weekend was great and much of that was due to the standard and quality of the accommodation. The decor and furnishings are all to a very high standard so much so you felt as if you could live in it full time as a home rather than a holiday let. We would love to come back to see more of the area and some of the attractions."
Douglas Wallace, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.
"The cottages and the area are absolutely beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to the north of Scotland."
Lynda Fielding, Newcastle upon Tyne.
"We would just like to thank you very much for letting us stay in your cottage. We had a wonderful holiday with lots of lovely memories and of course plenty of mementos. I don't think there was much we didn't get to see and it didn't matter if it rained."
Viv & Tony Jeffers, Perth, Australia.
"Thank you very much for the opportunity to holiday at "The Swallows" during the school break in October. The location is perfect and is very private and peaceful. The cottage is spacious and decorated and furnished to a very high standard (Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen doesn't have a look in!!!). You have created the most stunning holiday accommodation and hope you don't mind that we have taken away some of your design ideas. All the very best, we shall return!!. Fantastic!!."
The Strangs, East Lothian.
"A very big thanks for providing us with excellent accommodation on our annual visit home to Scotland. Perfect setting for having time out with our mum and dad. An evening's highlight was the use of the BBQ facilities for cooking the local fresh fish, which was fantastic. Cheers and hope you can fit us in next year."
Paul & Linda Satti, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
"We all have had a wonderful stay. We will be returning to stay in the near future. The cleaning job was a pleasure for the warm welcome you gave us. It just feels rather strange to know that someone else is in the cottage as it felt like our own."
Ian & Diane Marshall, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
"Just got home after spending a week in "The Owl". The only reason we decided to visit Scotland was that my brother-in-law married a Scottish lass and we felt duty-bound to visit. To be honest, I wasn't initially keen on "wasting" my prized annual leave on somewhere so cold and barren.
{linebreak}{linebreak}
It just goes to show what ignorance can do. My wife, two young children and I, have just had a magical time! We saw some beautiful countryside, met warm, wonderful people, ate huge helpings of delicious food, felt the history and drank the whisky! But the thing that topped it all off for me was the quality of the accommodation. Everything was catered for and we felt really at home immediately. Absolutely first class...so much so we actually feel as if we've cheated a bit for paying so little!
{linebreak}{linebreak}
If you're wondering about a holiday in Scotland and want to get away from the touristy haggis-and-shortbread bits, come here.
It's wonderful..."
Gary, Melvina, Poppy and Callum Benzies, Rainham, Kent.
