Just two doorways past Whitby’s Romanesque Arts Centre, our self catering holiday cottage Rooftops sits above Old Whitby’s main shopping street. Looking out of the window you have a fine view across the rooftops and harbour to West Whitby, the Royal Hotel and the celebrated Magpie Café!
The bustling street below leads to the 199 steps that take you to the haunting ruins of Whitby Abbey. On the way you pass numerous inns, tea rooms and jewelers – many selling famous Whitby Jet.
Comfortably sleeping four, with living and sleeping accommodation on separate floors, our self-catering cottage Rooftops offers a modern, relaxed environment from which to enjoy all that Whitby has to offer.

Sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, 1 double bed and 2 single beds, Fresh bed linen and duvets, Towels (not beach towels), Cot and Highchair.
Bathroom with shower and WC, Hairdryer, Fully controllable Gas Central Heating system, Fully Fitted Kitchen, Washer, Drier, Fridge/Freezer, Microwave, Lounge (with coal effect gas fire), TV with DVD, Sound systems in all bedrooms. Mobile phone reception on most networks.
Monday and Friday changeover 12-4 (Saturday only during the mid summer months). Children are welcome. You can bring two well behaved dogs to the property (£35 per week or part week per pet). Smoking is not allowed.
We welcome two well behaved dogs at our cottages. We make a charge of £35 per dog per week or part of. You are required to bring your own baskets and your pets must remain in the kitchen area of your property and not be allowed on any beds or soft furnishings at any time. Pets are not to be left in your property unattended.
Rooftops is in the heart of Whitby Old Town. Only two minute’s walk from the main car park on the dockside. It’s flat walking around Town from here. Sitting above our other cottage, Cobblestones, groups of six can book both properties to accommodate them.
