The cottage is situated in a small hamlet near to the medieval castle village of Tagliolo Monferrato and is surrounded by vineyards and wine cellars. The view of the castle from the front door is impressive especially at night when it is flood lit. The cottage is English owned and restored in a traditional Italian rustic style.
The hamlet enjoys the stunning backdrop of the Cappane di Marcarolo National Park and it's mountains - a painters paradise. There are also beautiful walks all around and tracks suitable for cycling.
The cottage easily accomodates up to 6 people and is newly furnished and decorated. It has 2 bathrooms, one en-suite and 2 lounges with charming antique character features.
To the front of the cottage can be found parking for 2 cars. There is also a rear courtyard with flower beds and garden furniture.
Cottage rental for 7 nights ranges from 245 -395 euros depending on season (2008). The price includes the supply of sheets and towels. Cleaning and fuel are extra. No pets, smoking outside.

The cottage is an ideal location for painters and photographers who wish to capture images of medieval Italy with its flora and fauna.
Throughout the summer months the hilltop villages host traditional festas where local dishes and wines may be sampled. You can visit a different festa every weekend, some of which last for 4 days. Dancing shoes are a must! |
