Villa Il Pozzo is a timeless Tuscany estate only 2.5 kilometres from the wonders of Siena. La Villetta is a two-storey villa with its own private pergola and barbeque area overlooking the estate. The private entrance leads into the fully equipped open plan kitchen/dining area and living room with double sofa bed, armchairs and satellite television. Two steps lead up to two double bedrooms both of which have doors opening onto the patio and a shower-room. The small open study, a third double bedroom and a second shower-room are on the first floor. The garden and the pool are shared with the guests of 2 other apartments. |

| Guestbook: Our family recently enjoyed a fabulous time at a villa on the outskirts of Siena, Italy. The accommodations included a separate villa sleeping six and two apartments attached to the main villa in which the owners lived, sleeping four and two (but with a sofabed for a third). After emailing all the participants in the Grand Adventure and getting agreement from them, we took the plunge and sent our deposit. Upon arrival, we were delighted with our accommodations, which looked out over vineyards and olive orchards, and while the buildings were pleasingly rustic, the plumbing and kitchens were quite modern. Furnishings were a blend of antiques and comfortable modern beds and seating. For an extra fee, we had contracted for a “welcome” dinner, which was sumptuous, including 4 bottles of the estate wine. Each apartment also was given a grocery bag full of a variety of biscotti and a bottle of Vin Santo. Donna Minick |
