Daphnes villas and apartments are found within the boundaries of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos, just above Porto Roma Beach on the Vasilikos peninsula.
They are set in a large olive grove away from the road. A beautiful garden with lots of flowers surrounds the buildings emphasizing the over all atmosphere of peace and quiet.
The buildings are designed in the traditional Zakynthian country style with exposed beams, large private verandas and tiled roofs. All accommodations have air condition.
You can choose between six different kinds of accommodations, ranging from small one-room apartments sleeping two, to larger family-villas sleeping six-seven. There is a playground for the children and lots of space in the garden to put up your hammock, play boule or to move out the dinner table from the veranda for a lunch in the shade of an olive tree.
The BBQ is a natural meeting point and the reception is under the big parasol.
A hundred metres (or a 3 minute walk) down the road you will find Porto Roma beach. Within 100-300 metres from Daphnes up the little road there is a mini market, three taverns, one coffee bar, car rental and also a small hotel with a swimming pool open for all.
A path leads you through the olive groove to Gerakas (Turtle beach). The green hills with beautiful macchia and pine forest are just above with easy paths to follow.
Our season starts in the middle of May and ends in October. The temperature ranges between 20-33 degrees and the water temperature between 18-30 degrees.
We, Maria and Dionysis Tsilimigras, started building Daphnes in 1986. Dionysis is from Athens and Maria is from Stockholm, Sweden.
In 1987 we had our first guests! The garden has grown a lot since then and there are a few more houses as well.
We have found that running the business on our own without any travel agency between us and our guests is much better for everybody.
But it means that you have to find your own flight or ferry to get here. We are happy to answer any questions you might have and we hope that you will find this web site informative.

Daphnes Villas are a three minute walk from the Porto Roma Beach which is covered partly with sand and partly with pebbles, gently sloping and free from currents.
Above the beach, overlooking the sea is the Porto Roma Fish Tavern. A few minutes walk up the road there are two more local taverns.
There you will also find a well-equipped mini-market where fresh bread, fruit and vegetables are available. Here you can also do your money exchange, telephone and buy stamps. |

Daphnes offers 7 apartments able to accomodate 2 to 4 people with space for an extra bed. Bedrooms have twin or double beds. Bathrooms have shower and WC. The kitchenettes are equipped with electric 2 ring cookers, kettle and fridge, suitable for light catering.
Each accommodation have air condition and ventilators (fans). The large furnished verandahs make lovely dining and living areas. Extra beds can be supplied when needed.
The apartments are cleaned twice a week, as well as fresh linen changes, but it’s possible to make other arrangements suited to your needs.
