| ‘Belle Vue’ on the edge of the picturesque village of Puyravault is a superb location for holidaymakers. Situated just 15 miles from the magnificent old port of La Rochelle and the Ile de Ré, on Frances south west coast,and just 12 miles from south Vendées’ golden beaches. This is the heart of the national park ‘Marais Poitevin, yet is only 7 miles from the beautiful cathedral town of Luçon and close to the region known as the Venise Verte, (Green Venice). Our micro-climate, in this one of the sunniest parts of France, makes off season holidays most attractive.

The beautifully restored 18th century stone cottages are arranged around a courtyard with our own house. The spacious garden, which leads onto beautiful countryside, contains willow, fig and cherry trees with lawned areas and flowerbeds. We have a seperate barbecue area with plenty of tables and seating, fully enclosed solar-heated pool (12 x 5m) sun terrace, badmington, table tennis and darts. The four gîtes (cottages) are fully independent, tastefully furnished, fitted to a high standard and have exposed beams, microwave ovens, Dvd and CD players, electric heating, double sinks, refrigerators etc ; they provide modern comforts but have been carefully renovated to retain much of their original character.
This cottage sleeps up to 4 people and has one double bedroom and one small bedroom with bunkbeds.
The living room has a dining area, seating, corner unit, TV, DVD and CD player. The corner kitchen has a gas cooker, fridge freezer, microwave oven, toaster, electric kettle and double sink. There is electric heating thoughout. The cottage has tiled floors, exposed beams and many exposed stone walls.
It is situated to the rear of the buildings overlooking the garden.
he 12 x 5 m pool and tiled sun terace are fully enclosed for your security. There are attractive flower beds on three sides of the terace. The pool is floodlit by night with exterior lighting so you can swim or just relax beside the water all day and evening. The pool building offers shade to those who prefer not to spend too much time in the sun, and a fridge so you can keep your drinks nice and cool... The Belle Vue properties are set in a total of 2,600m² of garden. Apart from the swimming pool and sun terrace there is a large lawn area, containing a selection of fruit trees such as apricot, pear, apple, cherry, plum and fig. There is also table tennis and badmington for your use. The cottages are positioned around a couryard where we have a stone barbecue for cooking 'al fresco' and also plenty of garden furniture.

| Food is always of great importance here in France, and there are an enormous number of restaurants to choose from in the local towns and villages. If however you prefer to eat in but don't want to have to cook every night, we keep a selection of tasty, home-made, frozen dishes for our guests. You may particularly like to eat in on your day of arrival, and if you let us know in advance, we can have something ready prepared for you when you get here. |
