In South Burgundy,the old priest's house opposite a 17th century chateau. Cormatin is a typical French village near to the famous ecumenical centres of Taizé and Cluny, and handy for the vineyards.

A comfortable Gîte in Cormatin near Taizé, La Maison du Curé is a stone cottage built in 1823 and was the home of the priests of Cormatin. It has been skilfully renovated whilst retaining many of the original features.
The cottage has three bedrooms, all with washbasins, and can sleep 6 people. It is available all the year round.
Outside is a small private garden with a terrace and BBQ.
La Maison du Cure is in a quiet street not far from the entrance to the Chateau, and is very convenient for the restaurants, boulangerie and tabac.
Cormatin is about five minutes drive from the famous ecumenical centre of Taize and ten minutes from the town of Cluny, whose magnificent Abbey demonstrates how important this area was in the 12th century.
Cormatin lies on the Voie Verte which provides easy access for cyclists and walkers to the surrounding villages and vineyards.

The village of Cormatin, in the department of Saone-et-Loire in Burgundy, is situated on the D981 about 23 miles south of Chalon-sur-Saone and 22 miles north of Macon. The nearest town is Cluny 7 miles to the south and Taize is less than 3 miles away.
By using the Autoroutes A26 through to the A6, Cormatin is less than 8 hours drive from Calais The nearest airports are Lyon (79 miles) and Geneva (128 miles). Alternatively one can fly to Paris and then take the TGV to Macon. Only 1˝ hours. There is a bus service from Macon to Cormatin

| The cottage has three bedrooms, all with washbasins. There is a bathroom with bath and shower upstairs and a shower room off the entrance hall. The kitchen is off the dining room and is fully equipped with microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. In the lounge is a 32' TV with English satellite channels, and a DVD player. There is central heating in all the rooms, and the lounge and dining rooms have electric log effect fires.
Outside is a small enclosed garden with a terrace and BBQ.
