Just 86 steps to the beach and pool and a short walk to "Maalaea Village". There you will find several wonderful restaurants from casual to 4-Star, and most with ocean or harbor views. The charming "Harbor Shops" shopping complex features Hula Girl's "fresh made" Cookies & Ice Cream, an Art gallery, Maui Surf, The Hawaiian Trading Company, Juice Stop, Island Soaps & Candles, Maui Discount Gifts, Moonbow Tropics (Tommy Bahama), Maui's T-Shirts ($4.99 & Up), Aloha wear, and the Pacific Whale Foundation.
There is also the Maalaea Harbor (one of Maui's main harbors) where boats leave on snorkeling, dinner and sunset cruises. During winter they leave on hourly "Whale Watching" trips out in Maalaea Bay. Next to the Harbor is the renowned Maui Ocean Center, a world-class Hawaiian aquarium with a clear glass, walk through "under water tunnel" allowing you to view sharks, manta rays and beautiful tropical fish without getting wet. Guestbook: 07/21/07 Positive What an amazing way to fall asleep each night...to the sound of the waves pounding on the beach!!!!!(Boy do I miss that!!) We looked forward to enjoying our evening meal out on the lani sipping a glass of wine, looking out at the beach/ocean and banana trees. We miss our two gecko friends, they bring good luck so they say :) Simple things, like a blender, multiple cutting boards and an ice maker are there to make your stay easier...thank you Gary! M & B

04/24/07 Positive Hi Gary ...yes thank you very much, we had a wonderful time and found your condo unit ideal!! We are already making plans to go back next year and hopefully in YOUR unit again! We liked the location, it was quiet, we felt quite safe there, it was very easy to get anywhere on the island from there! It will be a few months before we can make any solid plans, maybe even into winter, I will contact you as soon as I can to see if your unit is available. I will most likely be in April again though. 05/31/06 Positive My wife and I stayed at your condo in Maalaea and enjoyed it very much. It's in great condition and we were very comfortable there. The location is fantastic. As advertised, it's quiet, with great beach access and the neighboring nature preserve is a real plus. We'll definitely be back.
