Blue Hole National Park - Hummingbird Highway. This is a great place to take the family on a fun day out amongst the beauty of nature. This is one of the most popular recreational parks in Belize. Here you can take a swim in the Blue Hole, which is where the park gets its name from. You can also visit the St. Herman's Cave, which was used by the Mayans during the Classical Period.
Guanacaste National Park - North side of the Western Highway. This 50 acre tropical forest is another excellent place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The park is fillled with a number of indigenous trees, inclduing the giant guanacaste(tubroos) tree which is where it gets its name. The park is also home to over 100 different species of birds, as well as a few mammals. You can follow a number of hiking trails in order to explore the beauty of the park.

Nerie's Restaurant - Corner of Queen and Daly streets. This is one of the best restaurants on the north side of the river, and it is very popular with locals and tourists alike. They serve a wide range of the best Belizean food at reasonable prices. The restaurant is great for lunch and dinner.
Big Daddy's Diner - Located in the new market on the south side of the Swing Bridge. This the best place in town to go for breakfast, and it has been popular with locals and tourists for many years. They also serve a wide range of Belizean dishes for lunch, which are also recommended.
River Side Patio - Located at the rear of the market. This restaurant is the place to go if you want to take a break from sampling the local cuisine. They serve a wide range of Mexican-style food at reasonable prices. The restaurant is popular with local and tourists alike.
Belize City Bars & Clubs
Lumba Yard Bar - Located on the riverbank on the edge of town. This is the place to go if you're looking to party to some of the best bands from all over Belize. The bar cum club has been popular with locals and tourists for many years. This is a great place to get a taste of Belize and mingling with the locals, while having a good time.
Nu Fenders - Located on the corner of Queen and Handyside streets. This is one of the best bars in town and it is very popular with locals and tourists alike. This is a great to sit back and relax after a long day's worth of sightseeing. Here you can relax, have a few drinks while makling a whole lot of new friends.
Planet Hollywood - Located on the corner of Queen and Handyside streets. This Planet Hollywood is not part of the chain, and is one of the best nightclubs in Belize City. This is the place to go to party to some excellent live punta and reggae. The club is popular with locals and tourists alike, and there's always a party to be had.
