There are many small shops line the beach front road that sell many different localy crafted souvenirs, you can spend hours walking through the shops looking at all the interesting items on sale.
Many friendly vendors walk the beaches, selling jewelry; t-shirts; and crafts priced with haggling in mind. If you want some groceries; rum; cigars; and Dominican coffee there's a large supermarket next to the Decameron hotel.

Cafe Real - Located near the beachfront. This is the best place in town to go for pizza, and it is very popular with both locals and tourists. They serve a wide range of pizzas, with a Caribbean twist. The prices are very reasonable and the food is great.
Tango - Located on the waterfront. This restaurant is one of the best in town and is very popular with torists. They serve a wide range of local and international dishes, the steaks are highly recommended. The food is great and the prices are reasonable.
El Caribe - Located on the beachfront. This is the best restaurant that serves local Dominican food and it is very popular with locals. They serve a wide range of excellent local dishes and the prices are very reasonable. This is the place to go if you're looking to sample some of the local cuisine.
Juan Dolio Bars & Clubs
Mata Pollo - Located near the waterfront. This fun and lively bar is one of the best places to go if you want to kick back and have a few drinks. They have a couple of pool tables for those that want to play some games. It is quite popular with locals and tourists, although it doesn't get too crowded.
Bar Boulevard - Located on the beachfront. This is one of the best and most popular clubs in town, and is frequented by a mixed group of locals. They play a range of excellent Latino music, sometimes having live performances. This is the place to go if you're looking to dance and party with the locals.
