Very nice park, very friendly owner
Stayed for a couple of weeks and the only thing that seemed amiss was a water problem in the stream, which originated in the lake upstream. Was fine during our visit. Great views, roomy sites and cool weather, unlike some of the parks in and around ruidoso. We didn't come to shop and wine and dine or whatever. We wanted peace and quiet and that's what we got. The owner checked on us everyday, and whenever he went in to town he offered to get us anything we wanted or needed. This is unfriendly??? There's a nice little store/food spot about 1/4 mile -Easy walking distance - up the road and both ruidoso and capitan are very close, Just a few miles, up the highway. Absolutely pitch-black at night. The stars are amazing. Cool teepee and fire ring on the property, and there's always a couple of helpers around. Not too big either. It's one of the best little parks you'll ever find if you just act nice around the other folks.

This place was horrible .The guy running the place was very rude and not friendly. Nothing was as described during reservation. We asked for a refund and he said "NO". Park looked run down.
