Stay Somewhere Else
We stayed in this park in July 2007 in a pop-up trailer with our children. This was the worst RV park we've ever visited. The beautiful green grass on their web site turned out to be dead weeds. There was no shade, and the picnic tables were falling to pieces. Their advertisement of a "family friendly" atmosphere couldn't have been more wrong. There was nothing for the kids to do and before we had even left our car we were told quite rudely: "Keep your kids away from our horses." They put us as far as they could from the office/bathrooms/showers despite the fact that the park was only 1/3 full and then got mad if we didn't accompany our kids to the bathroom. It was ridiculous how rude they were. This park is run down and overpriced. If you want to stay in the Virginia/Nevada City area, try the KOA in Alder. It made me cry to see how beautiful the KOA was and then have to go back to the Virginia City RV Park for the night.
