Rundown and Rude!
Went here last June(2006). At first it looked nice, caravan clean and comfortable and check in very quick. Then, we tried the restaurant which was awful, staff rude, food disgusting and expensive. nowhere else to eat!Takeway was okay. nothing open until about 6pm to eat, which was annoying.Shop big and good stock. Bakery lovely and good for lunch on the beach. Swimming pool cold and full of rude people and their kids. In fact, the whole resort was full of ignorant people who smack and swear at their kids all day(in between smoking). All very depressing. The beach was deserted and really lovely, thankfully! We spent most our time there. But,the whole area isnt that attractive and Porthcawl is a good 20mins walk via a boring route and nothing there, except rude staff in shops again! Very rundown area. Burger King is enroute to walk to town, with a big fairground place, also very rundown, but my kids loved it as empty. Landtrain runs at weekends from this point to town and past a scenic route ... Read more

Nice Holiday
We went to Trecco Bay in July and had a great time, I have two young children who loved the ball pool and play areas. The main street with the pubs and entertainment could do with modernising but it serves it's purpose. Porthcawl is a nice little town and the beaches are very good.

Fantastic for children
Myself, daughter and grandsons went to Trecco Bay for Halloween half term, the caravan was superb we paid £5 to upgrade to a Pembrook caravan which was heated in every room, well worth it, the location of the caravan was fantastic across from the park at cedars, entertainment was poor passes a waste of time, the holiday was very relaxing the children didn’t want to come home, whilst we were at Trecco we went down on the beach which was lovely and walked over to rest bay and into the town, recommended for children 8+

Parkdean holidays are the pits !
My family and I spent a week at Trecco Bay and I think we must have been given the worse caravan on the site, and the site is huge with hundreds upon hundreds of caravans. We only used the caravan as our base as it was our first time staying in Wales and we wanted to see as much of South Wales as possible. We found our caravan to be dirty and shabby, damp and dull. It must have not had a thorough clean in months, because there was human hair and dust in every corner on the van, infact we had to clean it ourself before we unpacked. The site in general was quite poor, dirty looking shops and takeaways, tacky bars entertainment areas. We bought entertainment passes as an extra to our holiday as we were lead to believe they were a must have, but in actual fact they were a complete waste of money. We ended up paying for everything except the swimming pool, which I have to add was clean and quite well run. Porthcawl along the coast was also nothing to write home about, not alot to do or see,...
