Dodgie Security Guard
I have stayed at this campsite several times due to its great location to the beach and bar.
Before I stayed last time I called ahead to make sure there were camping spots available; there was and I was told that the cost for a tent for 2 would be €15 a night.
We arrived down at 10pm that night to be greeted by a tall security guard at the gates. I said we wanted a plot for a tent for 2 people. He said that will be €20. I questioned him why it was €20 when I was quoted €15 earlier on the phone. After an uncomfortable pause and looking at his watch he said ‘its an extra €5 after 9:30pm’. I was in no mood for arguing over €5 and just wanted to get the tent set up, so I said nothing. He said I would get my receipt in the morning at reception.
The next day I was passing reception and asked what was the cost for the tent and did it go up after a certain time. I was told it was €15 and no it didn’t . I explained what had happened the night before with the security guard. The receptionis...Read more
