What a lovely place!
We had a great stay at this campsite. The English owners are extremely friendly, and rustle up superb takeaways of exceptional quality - the beouf bourgignon with pesto pasta was delicious! This is a quiet relaxing site, which owes much of it's charm to the rural location and nearby river. Pitches are spacious and somewhat informal in style, with some partially shaded by trees. Facilities are clean and well cared for. There are many facilities in the locality for those who crave a touch of excitement - fishing, horse riding, and canoing for example. We preferred to relax, and thanks to a recommendation from the owners, we purchased a walking book of the area from the town's tourist information, and used our limited O-level French to translate the routes! The site itself boasts a small store, crazy golf, and even some white peacocks! If you want lots of entertainment and facilities for the kids, it's probably not the place for you.
