Made from hand-hewn Hemlock logs, the cabin is presented in a nature motif, well appointed and complete with creature comforts such as gas fireplace, Wi-Fi/broadband, well-equipped kitchen, cappuccino/espresso machine, walnut furniture and stone accents, etc., to welcome you for a day, a week, or longer! We've provided linens, towels, music, movies, DVD/VHS player, dartboard, etc., so you can relax and enjoy your getaway with good friends and company.
Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway along the Dan River, the cabin offers the perfect setting for a family outing or a get away for two. On site, and within walking distance, enjoy Appalachia history including a grist mill, Chapel 'Casa de Paz', historic carousel, ice cream parlour, and live bluegrass music at Christopher's Pizza. Hike the valleys and hills and enjoy the spring fed ponds and tributaries. Withing a few minutes from the cabin, you can also enjoy historic Mabry Mill, and sites along the Blue Ridge Parkway. While private, the cabin is a couple of minutes to all your shopping needs in the town of Meadows of Dan, and is also close to Stuart, Floyd, and Hillsville. After a day in the beautiful mountains, visit nearby wineries less than 5 miles from the cabin including Chateau Morrisette and Villa Appalacchia. |
