Richard & Sarah at Casa del Sole offer a unique farm holiday experience in a beautiful and central part of Tuscany. Forget about your troubles - the view alone soothes the soul.
The idea of Casa del Sole is to offer holidaymakers a quiet rural base from which it is possible to see many of the 'tourist attractions' (Florence 40 mins drive, Siena 90mins, Lucca 20mins)or where you can spend your holiday on the farm soaking up the secluded, calming atmosphere and spotting the wide range of wildlife on your doorstep.
The access road is steep and has six hairpin bends and there is also a steep walk up to the house from the car parking area of about 150 yards. We have no problem getting our large people carrier up our drive but we would advise visitors not to hire estate or low slung cars.
The Lodge:
This charming little house sleeps a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children.
The Lodge comprises:
* a large living area with fully equipped kitchen,
* dining table,
* sofa,
* double bunk bed.
* heating provided by a gas heater - charged at cost.
* a dressing area leads to the en-suite bathroom.
Outside there is a private decking area with natural shade.
We now have a small swimming pool at Casa del Sole - great for cooling down on a hot day and keeping the kids happy. This is shared with the Chestnut House (only ever 2 other people)
All our home produce, including our famous olive oil, is available to purchase at the farm.

Oct - April £250 per week
May - Sept £330 per week
All the accommodation prices are based on a weeks 'self catering' holiday.
Only full weeks can be booked from Friday to Friday.
Prices are per accommodation unit - not per person.
Out of season we may consider letting for parts of a week - please email to request.

Casa del Sole is located 5 minutes drive from the medieval market town of Pescia (20 mins drive to Lucca, 40 to Florence, 45 to Pisa - our nearest airport- and 90 to Siena).
The beach is only 40 mins drive and there are many local attractions for children and families.
The house is perfectly situated for a cultural trip to Tuscany or you can be skiing within 90 mins drive and there are mountain trails on our doorstep for exploration on foot, 2 wheels or hooves! |

The lodge is a studio apartment suitable for couples or small families (2+2).
The accommodation is arranged all in one spacious room. There is a comprehensive kitchen range with full oven and hob & fridge with all necessary crockery and utensils.
Inside there is a sofa, dining table and double bunk beds.
A small dressing area leads to the bathroom with shower (no bath).
Outside there is a large private terrace/balcony with table and chairs - perfect for al fresco dining.
You can roam around our 15 acres of woodland and olive groves at will. |
