Hostal Milhouse is a family run hostel located in the financial district, also very close to all tourist atractives of Valparaíso (port of Valparaiso, museums, funiculars elevators, hills alegre and concepcion, cafes, restaurants, historic area, Sotomayor Square, Baburizza Palace, boat rides, Turri Clock, Court Building, port marketplace).. Situated above the port with amazing views, it is clean and has a friendly atmosphere. The staff are informative. Included in the price is a typical Chilean breakfast and free fast internet.
If you would like to feel at home in Valparaíso, this is the place to stay.
The rooms are spacious and clean with storage space, and shared rooms comprised of 2-8 beds, and double beds available. There is a lovely living room that has the amazing views over the port where breakfast is served and the internet is available. There are 3 communal bathrooms, each with hot powerful showers for the seven rooms. The kitchen is well equipped and open 24 hours a day.
The hostal is located in the Cerro Alegre, behind the Sotomayor plaza. It is easy to get to by taxi-buses from the bus terminal. It is less than 300m to the port, with beautiful views and an artisan market. Only a few blocks walk away is the supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. The night life here is lively, with a mix of discotheques, bars and pubs playing latino, pop and rock music.
The local delicacy without a doubt is marisco; fresh sea food. |
