The House
It is a high-quality house with two comfortable floors and spacious rooms. It has been elegantly decorated with nice classic furniture which makes it a comfortable and enjoyable place.
The second floor has been designed aiming exclusively at the intimacy of the guests. It is composed of central hall, three air-conditioned bedrooms with a lot of space, cable TV and private bathrooms. The bedrooms include old bronze beds with comfortable mattresses which contribute to the warm and delicate decoration.
On the first floor there is a reception and two important rooms which give on to the backyard; one of them is a living room and the other one a dining room where breakfast with regional pastries, homemade cakes, juice and fruits is served.
The owners´ quarters are found on this floor assuring the permanent attention that leads to a great stay and the necessary coordination of the visitors´ needs: transportation, excursions, tours to vineyards or ski centers, or to other typical places, restaurants and exhibitions of local works of art.
Location
It is located within the most privileged place all over Mendoza, a place of fancy residences opposite to Italia Square at 300 meters from the four-block Independencia Square. It is considered an obligatory spot for the tourist to visit. It counts with more than 120 booths of artisans, antique crafts, saddlers, jugglers, clowns, living statues, and bands of street musicians. Nearby, there are important hotels, The Regency Casino (located inside the Park Hyatt Hotel), Convention and Exposition Center, Theaters, Museums, The Pedestrian Area, new night clubs with fancy ice-cream parlors, exclusive bars, restaurants, grillrooms with the best Argentinean meat and the latest “Wine Bars”. All these places are located within a 500-meter area, where the two most important streets of the city are found, as well as travel and excursion agencies and bureau de change.

B&B Plaza Italia was an unforgettable stay. Wonderful location within walking distance of all of the main attractions/amenities on foot. Charming restored older guest house decorated with special attention to detail and artistic character. Our room was cozy and romantic. Breakfast was served to you in a bright and lovely area with fresh breads and homemade jams - more than the usual fare at other residences. But the best thing to rave about this place is how they take care of their GUESTS. Javier and his mother are the heart and soul of this residence and we felt so special. Sharing such intimate knowledge of the city, country, and their personal lives, we felt so truly taken care of...
A personalized wine tour with Javier is a must for wine-lovers (my husband knows good wine, this tour does not disappoint)! He is personable and knowledgeable about wine and will take you to a nice sampling of different wineries in the Mendoza area - small boutique and larger more reknown ones. A delicious gourmet lunch with wine pairing is also included - a great day to spend the day...
My husband and I also ended up with so much extra wine and we had about 3 more weeks on our honeymoon - we did not want to lug it around with us. Javier and family graciously held on to our packed boxes until we were traveling back to Buenos Aires and then mailed them there for us to pick up on our way out of the country - this saved us so much money in shipping AND made it convenient so we did not have to carry it the rest of our honeymoon. Talk about hospitality and service ! Truly unique place and people, we would love to come back here one day - THANK YOU Javier and Family!!!
