| Guestbook: First of all, it is a beautiful mansion on the top of a mountain (we later found out it is the largest Colonial Revival home in Vermont). Second, it is furnished with first rate antiques and art and looks like something out of Architectural Digest, and so romantic. Third, the food was fantastic. The breakfasts (included) had an amazing range of choices, all of which were delicious. But the truly outstanding dishes were served at dinner. Rack of lamb, lobster, salmon, roast beef--easily meeting the highest standards of any 4 or 5 star restaurant. And the deserts were breathtaking. We had an amazing poached pear in wine sauce that we've never had the equal of in years of traveling. Fourth, it is located right in the middle of everything--Dartmouth, Woodstock, ski resorts and historic sites. Fifth, (and we really should have put this first)the innkeepers, Robert and Ari, made our stay warm, hospitable and charming.
