Nestled in two acres of towering spruce and hemlock at the base of the 5,000 foot Chugach Mountains, the Treehouse offers outstanding views of Hearth Mountain and Mount Eva with their hanging glaciers. This B&B is a very unique wood-crafter's home that focuses on comfort. The vaulted cedar ceilings, skylights, solarium where your breakfast is served, and intricate, curved deck railing reflect the artisan's skill. Antiques and Alaskan art add additional interest.
Guest rooms are large and inviting with queen beds, fresh new linens, an ample supply of Alaskan reading material, and TV/VCR with Alaskan videos. The Suite ($125 dbl occ.) can sleep up to five guests and includes a private entrance, private bath with hand tiled shower, and sitting room or 2nd bedroom. The Forest Room ($80) sleeps two and offers a peaceful view into the National Forest. This room can be rented in combination with the Little Loft Room ($75) with its double bed and single loft. Perfect for the kids, or your friends traveling with you. ($20 per additional person in the Suite)
We invite you to relax in our new, large hot tub on the multi-level deck surrounded by evergreens, to curl up in the solarium with a book, or to play the grand piano. The Treehouse's full breakfast gives your day a great start. Hot sourdough pancakes, French toast, or buttermilk waffles topped with warm sauces made from the many wild berries we pick in this area are standard fare. Fruit juice, fresh ground coffee and tea compliment the menu, with parfaits of fresh fruit, homemade granola and yogurt often on the menu.
