Built in 1882, The Pines is an attractive Victorian mansion set in its own grounds. With ample parking off the main A96 Inverness to Aberdeen road The Pines has easy access to both airports. Located at the historic east end of Elgin, it is just a 5 minutes walk to both the Cathedral and the town centre with all its amenities.
As much a family home as a guesthouse, Wendy & Colin take pride in welcoming you and will go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Good food is an important part of any break: a full Scottish breakfast with locally sourced produce and home baked bread, served in our beautiful dining room, will surely set you up for the day whatever that may entail. Whilst in the evening there is a wide variety of restaurants and local pubs catering to all tastes.
The Pines has a range of tastefully furnished rooms including doubles, the popular 4-poster, family and twin rooms. All are en-suite and fully equipped with a tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, radio and hair dryer. An iron or trouser press are available on request. For the added comfort of guests The Pines is a non-smoking guesthouse.
Elgin is Scotland’s smallest city, with it’s Cathedral founded in 1224. It has been Moray’s commercial heart for over 800 years. Today there is a new leisure centre, many shops and restaurants, Johnson’s Cashmere Centre, Moray Motor Museum. And slightly further afield, you can find Baxter’s of Fochabers, The Malt Whisky and Castle Trails, a beautiful coastline with the chance of spotting our resident dolphins, more golf courses than you can imagine… Plenty to fill a few days! Known as the "Mediterranean of the North" the Moray Firth area boasts some of the best weather in the British Isles. If you are lucky enough to visit in spring, look out for the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival! |
