Little Roseland is a traditional Cornish house dating from 1704 in the heart of the hamlet Treworga in the middle of Cornwall’s stunning Roseland Peninsula. The owner Didi Vernon Miller has utilised her interior design skills to rebuild the property and has recently finished this fully renovated home to offer 3 luxurious individually designed en-suite bedrooms, including one king, one twin and one double.
On arrival your hosts Didi and her husband William serve afternoon tea, depending on what has been baked that day, perhaps blueberry muffins or carrot and banana cake. Weather depending this is served in one of five secluded areas created for guests within the imaginatively designed garden.
The bathroom ensuite of the king bedroom, offers a roll-top bath while the shower rooms offer a double sized shower with underfloor heating for the chillier months. Additional guest extras include bathrobes, heated towel rails and a choice of luxury shower gels. There are bath milks and shower gels kept for guests with sensitive skin.
The guests have their own sitting room, offering ample soft seating, spoilt for choice on cushions to support the back while browsing the collection of wonderful reference books, holiday novels or just the steady supply of gossip magazines! In the winter months, the wood burner creates the perfect cosy atmosphere to unwind and relax.
Breakfasts are definitely something to look forward to. In the summer months, fresh berries/ fruit salad are the treat with yoghurts either before or after your cereal which is then followed by either a traditional cooked breakfast or as a summer option of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on English muffins. Winter options include porridge and a sweeter option of French toast with syrup and bananas. All breads are baked fresh each day as is the afternoon baking. Breakfast is served either in the hall or the garden.
Little Roseland Bed & Breakfast is conveniently positioned between the 16th Century Roseland Inn, Philleigh (2miles) and The Kings Head Pub in Ruan Lanihorne (2miles) both offering a comprehensive menu of local produce. The daytime choices after your breakfast are endless.
Walkers/cyclists are spoilt with the South West Coastal path and cycle routes on the doorstep. Gardeners are spoilt for choice with Trellissick National Trust, Caerhays Castle, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Eden Project, all easily reached within 30minutes. For guests just wishing to take in the beauty of Cornwall, the Peninsula itself has several beaches, creeks, fishing villages, galleries, restaurants on offer aswell as the idyllic church and grounds of St.Just in Roseland. Further day trips are open to guests with the use of the renowned King Harry Ferry (3 miles) opening up the opportunity to explore Truro & Falmouth, the South and West coasts of this diverse and beautiful county.

Guestbook: "Loved Little Roseland"
WildLamb, Reading, Berkshire 14 Aug 2007
We have just returned from a four night at stay at Little Roseland which we enjoyed enormously. We received a very warm welcome from Didi and Will who are a young friendly couple who have completely refurbished their cottage to a very high standard. Didi is an interior designer and her eye for detail really shows. We stayed in the twin bedded (red and white) room which is fresh and bright and very attractively decorated. The beds are on wheels so can be pushed together - I am sure Didi and Will would be happy to do this for you if you asked. We had our own private bathroom immediately outside our bedroom door and this had an overhead fixed power shower. The bathroom was also decorated beautifully in natural tones. On arrival Didi offered us tea and homemade muffins and this was the form throughout our stay. Most afternoons we would sit on the swing seat in their lovely garden listening to the birds and catch the last rays of sun whilst enjoying a cup of tea and some home baking. There are three secluded seating areas in the garden which allows the guests to sit outdoors in privacy. There is also a very comfortable guest sitting room in the house (again beautifully decorated) with a large sofa and TV (with Sky) and a choice of magazines, books or DVDs to borrow. There are no TVs in the bedrooms which makes for a restful and peaceful stay. Breakfast was delicious with fluffy scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on muffins or a traditional English breakfast of locally sourced bacon and sausages with mushrooms, tomatoes and eggs or I am sure you can have one of the above combinations - they are very flexible. Didi and Will bend over backwards to ensure that guests are having a happy relaxing stay. They are great fun and very welcoming whilst delivering to a high standard on beautiful clean accommodation.
"Holiday Heaven"
Solnet, Alcester 27 Aug 2007
We have just returned from a five night stay at Little Roseland, which was one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed in. We would have liked to have stayed longer but it was fully booked, this was not surprising as we received a very warm welcome from Didi and Will who are a young friendly couple who have tastefully refurbished this lovley cottage to a very high standard. The rooms are all designed and very attractively decorated in different themes, with ensuite bathrooms, which will appeal to all tastes. On arrival Didi offered us tea and homemade muffins and this was in with the price and became norm throughout our stay. Most afternoons we would sit on the swing seat in their lovely garden listening to the birds and catching the last rays of sun whilst enjoying a cup of tea and some home baking. Breakfasts were wonderful with fluffy scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on muffins or a traditional English breakfast of locally sourced bacon and sausages with mushrooms, tomatoes and eggs.Didi and Will bend over backwards to ensure that guests are having a happy relaxing stay and will sugguest great places to visit and to eat , as well as booking them up for you.You will find they are a very friendly, fun loving couple, who make you feel very welcome whilst delivering a high standard and beautifully clean accommodation. Thanks for a fantastic break. Brian & Sarah from Alcester
