The Haytor Hotel is an elegant detached Victorian Villa built in 1853 and set in beautiful gardens. It is located in a conservation area on leafy and peaceful Meadfoot Road just 300 metres from central Torquay and the harbour with its many bars, restaurants and shops. A short walk the other way takes you to the award-winning Meadfoot Beach and coastal paths with stunning bay views.

| All rooms in the Haytor Hotel are fully en-suite, and are individually and tastefully decorated to a high standard. Double En-suite rooms are located on the ground, first and second floors. The Single En-suite rooms are on the second floor, and have glimpses of the sea and views of the town. Each room has remote controlled digital multi-channel television, a hairdryer, boxed tissues and tea & coffee making facilities with biscuits. Central heating radiators have individual thermostatic controls. Ground and first floor rooms also have telephones (allowing dial-up internet access for guests on business) and the hotel's broadband wireless network extends throughout the hotel - at no charge to our guests. All bathrooms have been refurbished for 2005. Most Double En-suite bathrooms have showers, although some have baths. Single En-suite bathrooms have showers. Complementary soap, shampoo and shower gels are provided in all bathrooms.
The Superior rooms are located on the ground and first floors, are fully en-suite and are tastefully decorated to a very high standard. The Superior King Size and Superior Twin rooms are situated on the ground and first floors of the hotel and add a more spacious executive feel to the facilities featured in our double en-suite rooms. The newly refurbished Superior bathrooms feature either a walk-in shower and a heated towel rail or a bath with an overhead shower, together with a radiator.
Our romantic Four-Poster room is located on the first floor, is dual aspect, and is decorated to an exceptionally high standard. The carved Four-Poster bed is King Size. The bathroom, which has also been completely refurbished for 2005, features a double width shower. |
