Bucks House is a beautiful Grade II house set in the middle of a medieval village. We are only 20 minutes by car from Stansted and minutes from The High Barn music venue, Finchingfield, Braintree, The Fennes Estate,Towerlands and many local wedding venues.We are also only 10 minutes drive from Freeport Shopping Outlet. Counstable country is half an hour away. Thaxted and Saffron Walden are both beautiful medieval local towns.
All rooms are furnished with style and individuality. They have comfortable beds, television, bathrobes, toiletries,hairdryer, fluffy towels, electric blankets, tea/coffee tray, and armchairs.
Breakfasts are delicious and wherever possible we use home grown and organic produce together with home made preserves.
Great Bardfield is on the borders of Suffolk, Essex and Hertfordshire and is ideally placed for walking, cycling and driving holidays in this beautiful part of East Anglia. We can provide safe storage for cycles and there is plenty of parking around the house.We welcome babies under one year and children over 10. We have a travel cot and high chair. We are also happy to have well behaved dogs with their own beds.Check-in is from 2 p.m. and latest check-in is 22.00. There are two pubs in the village, both serving excellent food at lunchtime and in the evening. Packed lunches are available. Rates are per person per night. |

| M11 - At Junction 8 follow signs to A120 Colchester/Stansted. Continue on A120 until reaching first turnoff for Dunmow West. Take this and follow signs to Great Dunmow Town Centre. Look for sign for left turn to Saffron Walden (B184). Take this and at bottom of hill, bear left at mini roundabout. Next turning on right B1057 signposted to Great Bardfield and Stebbing. Follow this road for six miles. In Great Bardfield we are at end of High Street on the village green opposite The Vine pub. |
