Anchor Lodge B & B accommodation is next to the Hope and Anchor public house (the heart of the Ross on Wye social scene what's on) and is the ideal location for people who wish either to dine there or to partake of a drink. The hosts of restaurants in Ross town centre make it the perfect place to stay (you can leave the car without charge in the car park between the bed and breakfast and the river Wye and walk into town). If you are coming to Ross on Wye on business, staying overnight en-route to other places or for a while it is the ideal stop-off and a cost-effective alternative to an hotel. Walking in the area is a joy and in fact we are on the Wye Valley Walk. If you are arriving by cycle or canoe, we have secure overnight storage. There are two canoe launches close by. Fishing is fantastic and only yards from the house (free to our guests)
Anchor Lodge accommodation was totally refurbished to a high specification in the Autumn of 2005 and we pride ourselves in maintaining it to an equally high standard. (more info and pictures). All the rooms are en-suite and have TV, central heating, tea/coffee making facility and hairdryer. We are able to offer accommodation with or without breakfast (if required, this is served at our sister guest house, 30mtrs away The White House Guest House, Ross-on-Wye ). This gives you the freedom to skip breakfast for an early start if you prefer (The White House serves breakfast from 7am weekdays). You can choose in the evening where you wish to dine - you will be spoilt for choice with the many excellent restaurants and pubs in the town. The restaurant choices range from Italian to Nepalese, traditional English to Peking style (not usually available in hotel dining rooms!)
For the information of businesses, we are able to offer longer term accommodation for people working in the area on a Monday to Friday morning basis. Please telephone Chas or Judy to discuss your requirements.
