The Mount overlooks Derwentwater and the Cumbrian fells. It is located in a quiet village close to Keswick (1 mile).
The Mount is a semi-detached Edwardian house built in 1910. It has been redecorated to a high standard with an eye for detail. We aim to engender an ambiance of 'home from home' and guests are invited to relax and use the facilities as their own.
The B&B is totally non-smoking and all rooms are en-suite. They all have a courtesy tray, TV, radio/alarm clock, hairdryer and most have views of the lake or fells.
We welcome motorists, cyclists and walkers alike. There is off-road parking, secure cycle lock-up and drying facilities. A variety of activities are locally available, both sporting and cultural. |

All are easily accessible for visitors. Portinscale is a small, quiet village with many activities available. |

| All rooms are en-suite or have private facilities. They all have courtesy refreshment trays, radio/alarm clocks, hairdryers and remote controlled TV. There is a drying room for wet clothing and boots. An iron and ironing board is available for use and there is a guest lounge with a radio/CD player and a music collection. The library is in the lounge. Packed lunches are available on request (24 hours notice)for £6.00. Flasks are filled free of charge. Secure lock-up facility for bicycles and other equipment is available. Bookings for restaurants and the theatre can be done for free and information on walks and weather is also readily supplied. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement (notification is essential!). We do have a minimum age policy of 6 years for children. |
