Riversdale is a family home in the centre of Islip village,in Oxfordshire,with 1/3rd acre of secluded garden, and a private parking area.
The house dates from 1620. We have 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and a small single room. Each room has a television and facilities for making hot drinks. Two have wi-fi.
Islip village is situated 5 miles north east of Oxford, 6 miles from Woodstock, ,between the A34 and M40,and is 1 hour from Heathrow Airport. Islip is on the River Ray, Oxfordshire Way Footpath, the Oxfordshire Cycleway, and is on the edge of Otmoor near the Otmoor R.S.P.B. Reserve. Great Western Trains run a regular service from Bicester to Oxford, calling at Islip. (Islip to Oxford 13mins, Oxford to London 1 hour. Islip to Bicester 13mins and Bicester Village Outlet shopping is 10mins walk)
The village dates from the Saxon period, was the birthplace of Edward the Confessor, and is now a Conservation Area.
There are two pubs serving meals in the village, a Village Hall Shop and good Sports facilities nearby.

| Our three double rooms are light airy and spacious, with lovely views of the garden, village. Two have en-suite bathrooms with power showers. There are televisions and radio's in every room, and facilities for making hot drinks. Hair driers and Irons are readily available. The Ground floor room, which is suitable for slightly disabled guests, can also be let for self-catering, with its own little kitchen. The single room is small but cosy, and shares the family bathroom. |
