OVERVIEW
A retreat in which everyone can relax and be assured of their own space in beautiful surroundings, this lovely Grade II listed timber framed building dates from the 16th century. Behind its symmetrical Georgian façade, lie high quality furniture and furnishings which are in keeping with the times when the occupants of rectories were the younger sons of the landed gentry. Outside, in the mainly walled garden, stands a magnificent copper beech tree with the carvings of names of evacuees during the war.

Peace and tranquillity prevail, whether it's outside on the terrace in the summer, inside in the winter with log fires or in beautifully decorated en suite bedrooms which enjoy spectacular views of the garden with its old English roses, mature shrubs and trees.

The hosts Sarah is a trained cook and her home made biscuits and cakes are not to be missed. Bobby has worked in the City and travelled extensively. Dinner is cooked and produced by Sarah, using mainly local produce. The extensive and varied wine list comes from all corners of the world. Bobby and Sarah enjoy dining with their guests to ensure a friendly and entertaining evening.

The location The house is in an excellent location to explore all of East Anglia, being on the Suffolk/Norfolk border with great houses such as Wimpole Hall, Angelsey Abbey, Audley End, Holkham, Sandringham, Blickling, Felbrigg, Houghton, Oxburgh, Ickworth, Kentwell and Euston to name but a few. The not to be missed coastlines of North Norfolk and East Suffolk are within easy reach as are Cambridge, Norwich and Ipswich. For racing lovers Newmarket, Huntingdon and Fakenham are easily accessible.
