This delightful B&B is situated right on the northern approach road into Abingdon Town Centre. Although the house is situated on a main road, it is set back on a slip road and has a number of trees screening it from the road thereby ensuring that it is fairly quiet. As we are virtually on the main road, the bus stops for travel to and from the centre of Oxford, Culham, Didcot, Marcham, Milton Park, etc. are only yards from the front door!
The journey into Oxford by bus takes around 20 minutes and most days of the week the service runs every 10-minutes. (Please be aware that Oxford does not welcome cars and encourages visitors to use buses and their 'Park & Ride' facilty.)
There is ample parking on the drive to the house. We provide free WiFi access for our guests and also offer a PC for guests that have not brought a laptop wtih them!
The accommodation available consists of one single room, one ground floor twin room (that can also be used by guests with mobility problems and has an access rating of M1), two double rooms and one twin/triple room (all with en-suite shower rooms). Variations on each room can be seen on the main web site as most of the rooms have sufficient space to add another bed to accommodate a child or another adult if required. There are two local pubs within 200 yards of the house that both supply good quality food for evening meals; a 10/15-minute walk into the centre of town gives visitors access to numerous and various other restaurants and pubs. |
