The Baldassini is a service-oriented B&B located in the best area of Rome historic centre, as reviewed by The Guardian.
It is just a stone's throw away from the Pantheon and piazza Navona. The Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps
are at a 10 minutes walk, and also the Vatican, the Colosseum and the Trastevere area are at a walking distance.
Stay at the Baldassini B&B and you can visit the historic centre of Rome on foot!
Rooms are provided with all comforts: en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and fan, tea/coffee facilities, free internet access, tv, mini-fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, magazines.
It is also available a washing machine, an iron and iron-board at your disposal for free.
A full breakfast is served in your room at the time you prefer (Italian espresso or regular coffee or cappuccino or tea,
then orange juice, cookies, toasts, jam, butter, yoghurt, cereals, muesli/granola, milk, fresh fruits and
also Parma ham and cheese, eggs and bacon).
Francesco, the knowledgeable host, will provide you with a map and suggest interesting routes and attractions to visit as well as excellent and reasonably priced restaurants, bars and pubs in the coolest areas of the city.

If you arrive by airplane from Fiumicino airport you can take a direct train until Termini station or from Ciampino airport a Terravision shuttle bus.
From Termini train station, on the left side (in via Giolitti), take the bus n� 70 until Senato/Navona stop, then walk on the first street on your right (via di S. Agostino) and continue until the number 37 of via delle Coppelle.
The B&B is situated at the first floor, n� 2.
Alternatively you can take a taxi from Termini train station (12/15 euros) or from the airport (40 euros from Fiumicino airport and 30 euros from Ciampino airport). |

Guestbook: We arrived late at night, tired and hungry. After finding this gem right in the heart of the world's loveliest city; we couldn't believe the hospitality from our hosts, Francesco and his partner. A nice drink awaited our return; to this most comforting of retreats. Clean rooms en suite in a beautiful building with history attached to it as well, a minute away from the Pantheon. In the morning we were greeted to a large and filling breakfast that would fill anybody. It set us up well for the day ahead. I, for one, hardly needed much thereafter.
Needless to say our short stay in Rome was made even better by being guests of Francesco. He even made sure that we got on our taxi and were not overcharged, just as a friend would do for you. We would totally recommend this home from home to any traveller, near or far as a lovely place to stay. J.Blackley.

Its hard to imagine a better place to stay in Rome. The location is perfect. Nothing is further than a 20 minute walk and most of the famous sites are less than 15. It is on a quiet street with a lot of character. You really feel like you are living in Rome, as opposed to staying in a hotel.
Francesco, the owner, is wonderful. He is helpful, flexible, and honest. He was quick to answer emails weeks before we arrived about getting from the airport, the cost of Taxis, where to eat. When we wanted to get an early start to the day and it was before the normal time breakfast is served he put ours in the little fridge the night before. He really cares about his guests and goes above and beyond. He even gave my girlfriend and I are parting gift.
Our room was wonderful. Cozy and clean. There was a very comfortable bed and cute table to eat breakfast at. A nice new air conditioner cooled down the room fast and a powerful oscillating fan too.
The cost was very reasonable, especially considering it was peak season. In short, you should stay here!

Myself and my girlfriend have just returned from a superb weekend break in Rome. This Baldassini guest house is superb. It would be hard to better it for location with just about all the major sights within a 15 minute walk as it is situated just around the corner from the Pantheon. We stayed in the front guest room adjacent to the street; the room was excellent, clean, airy and, like the other two rooms, benefited from a very efficient Air Conditioning unit. The breakfast served in the bedroom was lovely and more than enough, with Francessco being very flexible about times of serving.
In short, I would recommend this for anyone wanting a central location at a very competitive price. Superb.

Baldassini was the best service I have ever had at a B&B. Owner Francesco goes out of his way to make sure his guests are comfortable and happy. The location is incredible - just a minute walk from the Pantheon and Piazza Navona (one of the most beautiful piazzas in Rome). All of the major tourist attractions are within walking distance. The room was kept spotless and if we had any requests, Francesco was quick to answer them. I would HIGHLY recommend this B&B to all Rome travellers.

This is the BEST place to stay in Rome. Perfect location...in a really nice area a couple minutes away from Pantheon, Navona Square etc.... The Bed and Breakfast is extremely clean and you are brought your breakfast at whatever time you want into your room and it is set at your private table. This is extremely underpriced for what you get. Stay here if you are coming to Rome.

This is a beautiful bed & breakfast. Francesco was more than accomodating. There are three rooms in the B&B - they are all beautiful. I stayed in two of them - thankfully they could accomodate me one extra night. There is a bathroom for each room. They two larger rooms have the bathroom in the room, the third smaller the bathroom is right outside the room. Breakfast was more than enough (Cappuccino, OJ, Sweet Roll, Biscuits, Toast, Jam, Butter, Yogurt, Granola, Banana & Apple every morning). Definitely more than needs to be consumed. Francesco and one other lady are around in the morning to serve breakfast and clean up. They leave in the mid-afternoon and do not come back until morning. Everyone has a set of keys so that you can get in the front door and B&B, then a single key to your specific room. The location is fabulous! Couldn't ask for a better location for the price (they could probably charge a lot more). It is located right behind the Pantheon, through some windy back streets - but it's set back in a quiet area away from all the tourists. There are a ton of restaurants around. Piazza Navona is a short 2 minute walk away. I loved this place. I would definitely stay here again!

Yes,it's near to the main attractions. Yes, it's surrounded by restaurants. Yes, it is a character building ( built ~ 1520AD). But, the welcome by Francesco, the owner, his assistance with first timers in Rome and interest in his guests was stunning! We will go back again and again!

I fully agree with the other reviewers on this cute little b+b. After a day this place really felt like our own little flat. Francesco was quiet, discrete, really helpful and full of little attentions like the welcome drink and the kettle, mugs and English tea laid out on the table when we came home the first night!! Such a reasonable place in such a perfect location makes you want to move in. If you like your independence, go!

We were very lucky to have found this B&B in Rome. The room is great the breakfast (in the room, like a 5 stars hotel) is exceptional, very complete and the B&B�s location could not be better: just a few blocks from the Pantheon and Fontana de Trevi. Lovely place in fantastic location. The complimentary breakfast in bed, or at least wheeled into the bedroom, is definitely a USP. The main room at the front overlooking the street is really gorgeous. The young owner is very friendly and professional. Id definitely go back.

Baldassini B&B was a great place to stay! The location is perfect - just a few blocks away from the Pantheon. The breakfast was huge and picturesque. Also, there was plenty of hot water which is sometimes not so plentiful in Italy. My mom and I last stayed at a "four" star hotel in Rome which had barely any hot water, it was quite shabby in comparison to this B&B, and was quite a bit more expensive. Anyhow, this is a great value, and I would stay there again!
