Montechiari, an old manor House now restored maintening the typical tuscan style, is located in the heart of Tuscany countryisde and CHianti region and in the middle between Florence (25 KM) and Siena (35 KM).
Only 500 metres from the famous Main Square of Greve, 200 metres from the bus stop from/to Florence, 200 metres from the public swimming pool, tennis and football court and at 200 metres from the Tourist Office. At 2 minutes’ walk you may rent bikes and motorbikes (50, 125, 250 cc.) for exploring the neighborhood. At 500 metres one of the biggest “Enoteca” of the Chianti region with wine books from the 1700, 1800 and 1900, permanent exposition of screwdriver, possibility for tasting more than 140 kind of different wines, olive oil, "vin santo" and assorted salami, and free consulting of the wine producer database.
From here you can quickly reach all the small villages (like Montefioralle, Badia a Passignano, Panzano, Radda, Castellina, Gaiole, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Volterra, Colle Val d'Elsa, Cortona.....) and towns (like Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Pisa, Lucca.....) well known for their architecture and history. You can also visit all the famous Chainti Castles and Villas: Verrazzano (Giovanni, sailing through the Athlantic Sea and discovering the Bay of New York, has lived here for several years), Vicchiomaggio, Vignamaggio (where the Monna Lisa, painted from Leonardo da Vinci, lived), Meleto, Brolio (with its beautfull typical italian garden),….. and of course visit all the major Chianti Classico wine producer, their vineyard and cellars and where you may taste exquisite wine too.

From the South: Exit “Incisa” Motorway A1, continue to Figline; just before arriving in the center of the village turn right at the Torricelli Hotel, follow sign for Greve: from here you have about 20KM driving. In Greve turn right at the first traffic light (direction Florence) then at the next traffic light take the first street on your left, leaving on your right the Tourist Office Information and the Public Park.
- From the North: Exit “Firenze Certosa” Motorway A1 and take the SS222 direction Greve, you will pass Falciani, Il Ferrone, Passo dei Pecorai and Greti. Once in Greve turn right at the Tourist Office Information.
- When in Greve: after 150 metres take the first right, and immediately the first street on your left is Via di Zano we are at the number 30.

The two bedrooms for our guests are spacious and well furnished in the typical tuscan style with “warm” colors. ONE room can accomodate up to 3 people (with armchair which unfolds into a third bed), with TV (only italian channels), desk and guardrobe in “arte povera” style, armchair, fridge, kettle, private bathroom with shower and central heating. We provide both sheets and towels. We have also Internet Point and Wi-Fi connection on payment.
After coming back from your day trip you may find a warm atmosphere and relax by the fireplace during the winter season, on the terrace (where we can serve breakfast too) or outside in our courtyard during the spring and summer time where you have available a nice barbecue for cooking whatever you wish. On request we are pleased to serve Breakfast and dinner in the typical family tuscan style with fresh, local and homemade products.
