Built in 1830 by a noble french family (Tour d'eau) that were wine merchants, the palazzo was recently refurshished. It is the ideal place to stay for anyone looking to be taken up in the simplicity and beauty of this historical residence. Situated on the highest point of the rocky village hill, the palace commands a spectacular panoramic view of the whole valley.
The palace has only 6 rooms, very large ones, thus making your stay very exclusive and comfortable. Not the typical hotel, that's for sure.
About the twon of Carunchio
Carunchio belongs to the exclusive club of "I BORGHI PIU' BELLI D'ITALIA", an association that has deemed it asone of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The oldest part of the village, where Palazzo Tour d'Eau now stands, is at the top of the hill, perched on the peak with the houses of the village huddled up below it.
The village is at 700 meters above sea level, and is not visible from any main highway, making it one of Italy's true treasures.
