Quillan is situated on the river Aude with an ancient chateau overlooking the town. It is popular for all water activities, white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and swimming in local lakes. Horse riding through the forest and mountain tracks can also be organised as a day long excursion or just for an hour or so. This is an area steeped in history with the mysteries of the Holy Grail, Knight Templars and Cathars. The old mediaeval city of Carcassone is just a short drive away, or you can relax on the mediterrean beaches in one hour's drive We also provide evening meals and packed lunches at an additional charge. |
