| Guestbook: Dear Denise
Just a quick note to let you know what a great time we had last weekend at your place in France. I had never been to that part of Normandy and I was surprised at the varied landscape around where you are.
Apart from getting lost coming out of the airport, it all went really well. I suppose that Caroline and I were a bit surprised at the quality of our room and the general feel of the place. Clive and you have obviously worked hard to get it into such a lovely condition.
I must admit I wasn't really expecting the food to be as good as it was, particularly on the first night when we turned up so late but it was excellent and the breakfasts......... we didn't need lunch. So thanks to Scott & Stacey for real 'spreads' at every meal.
I found Clive's tour interesting, even though I know the area reasonably well, he was full of gems of information and suggestions for stops on the route. I found a couple of the places that we went to very moving and the whole day was thought provoking. I know that Caroline had a good day in Bayeux, 'shop til you drop' springs to mind.
So all in all with Rob & Sarah, you & Clive, Scott & Stacey, great company, great food and a great place made for a great time.
Once again, thanks for everything.
Ian
