Emily's B & B is located in the former Ulkuniemi school on the Ulkuniemi peninsula in Finnish Lapland at the Arctic Circle. The causeways connecting the peninsula and the nearby Lautasalmi island to the mainland offer panoramic views of the lake and nearby farms and forests as well as many excellent fishing spots.
The surrounding fells and forests contain mushrooms and a variety of berries at different times of the year. During the winter there is a nearby Nordic ski track as well as several skiable skimobile paths on the lake.
Being located at the Arctic Circle the area experiences both the Midnight Sun of Summer and the Northern Lights of Winter.
There are opportunities for swimming, fishing, canoeing, boating, berry and mushroom picking, nature walks, Nordic skiing, husky safaris, midwinter moonlight walks on the frozen lake, and photo safaris all year round. We are open all year long!

| Emily's B & B is an efficiency apartment in the former Ulkuniemi school. The 1.4 hectare campus is located at the intersection of scenic route 944 (Luusuantie/Luusua St.) and Ulkuniementie/Ulkuniemi St. 26 km south of the Kemijärvi city center. The UKT Art Gallery is also in the school building. The Luusua village is located 6 km to the south of Emily's along Rte 944. In the village there is a Village Museum, the Alaluusua Reindeer Farm, Alaluusua Milk Products, and a hiking path/Nordic ski track. On the Ulkuniemi peninsula itself, there is a public swimming beach with a picnic shelter and grill, a boat slip and a boat dock about 100 m from the building. There is also a class "C" license bar at the Matkatupa. Emily's is surrounded by forests, the lake and several bays. A variety of berries and mushrooms can be found in the forests and on the fells at different times of the year. There is ample opportunity for boating, swimming, canoeing, bicycling, hiking, berry picking and fishing by boat or from the causeways. Or you can just relax and play a friendly game of "mölkky" on the "mölkky pitch". |

| The efficiency apartment contains an entry with a closet and coat rack, a spacious main room, a kitchen and a toilet. It is centrally heated and there is hot and cold running water. The main room contains a two level bunk bed, a couch that is also a fold out double bed and two closets with shelves. The main window faces to the north west and has a view of the "Back Bay" and the works-in-progress totem poles. The kitchen has an electric stove and oven, a refrigerator, a coffee-maker, a table with chairs and service for six. During the summer there is an acrylic picnic table set up inside a mosquito net tent for outside dining that is available to guests.
