In some moments each person wish to go realy far away from everydaylife, from common rules, from the same people and to find and discover something realy different and new. You can take such an oportunity spending unusual holidays on uninhabited island Mrcara (ca 17o ha ), 2 Nm far from bigger island Lastovo, surrounded with several smaller islets with which it makes safe and beautiful bay.
The nature itself, the sea and the wood enriched with animals on the island, fish in the sea and sea-gulls on the sky; islets and endless horizont; unusual music harmony of unknown sounds: murmor of the sea and cicades noice... that, and much more makes unique ecological paradise, joy for the body and the rest for the soul !
Owners, Rada and Branko Pavelin, offer accommodation with breakfast and dinner 20 m far from the sea in the Hunter's lodge (6 rooms, 2 showers and toilets) and in 3 wooded 4 bed-cottages. Accommodation is limitted to 30 persons.
Resort Mrcara gets electricity from generating unit, and it is used primarly for food storage and cooling drinks.
Besides extremly clean sea guests are offered with photo safary in Mrcara resort, participation in night fishing with proffesional fisherman, jogging, learn traditional Dalmatian cooking, rent a boat, organized trips around Lastovo, scuba diving is organized on Lastovo...
Food is daily fresh prepared and mostly prevail food that owners breed and hunt ( fish, sea shells, eggs, chicken, goats...). It is prepared in traditional way ( roasted, baked, under bellcover, grilled ...)

Islet Mrcara is the part of Lastovo archipelago,where you can come daily by ferry from Split. Connection is also organized daily by katamaran from Split to harbour Ubli ( lastovo island).Owners come and pick you to Mrcara.
During the summer there is twice a week connection direct with Italian harbours. |
