Situated just yards from the sea, Bahia Chiquita is tucked amongst rolling hills which face the sea, and nestled in an exuberant tropical garden exploding with greenery and flowers of every color. When one dreams of escaping his or her everyday life for a while, being close enough to the ocean to hear it is often part of that dream.
Breakfast is served in the small restaurant/bar close to the sea, where you can enjoy homemade food.
If you tire of the fantastic sea view, you will have at your disposal a small library, stereo, TV and DVD player.
Built and tastefully decorated using local materials and bright Caribbean colors, Bahia Chiquita proudly reveals its Dominican roots, and because of this, has been featured on reality television shows on several occasions.
There are in total 4 bedrooms and each with its own bathroom. Decorated and furnished differently, and with noticeable attention to detail as well as comfort and practicality, each bedroom has a fan and mosquito netting. All the rooms lead to a living area with sea and garden views, and, being on the first floor, allow easy access to the sea. |

Bahia Chiquita is found on the Samana Peninsula, the best place in the Dominican Republic for anyone who enjoys exploring the beauty and peace of the outdoors. Samana is a picturesque peninsula in the relatively undiscovered northeast side of the island of Hispaniola, which the Dominican Republic shares with Haiti. Samana city, which faces the bay with which it shares its name, has a decidedly Mediterranean style, with clear blue water, swaying palms, and a number of beautiful beaches. Outside the pueblo one finds tiny villages, lush tropical vegetation, some original, and waterfalls.
The spontaneity and joy of life which characterize many of the people seem to have changed little since Columbus discovered the island 500 years ago.
While some call Samana “the last paradise in the Caribbean”, it is easily accessible, with El Catey International Airport, Arroyo Barril National Airport and El Portillo (a local airport) all just a few kilometers away. Modern, air-conditioned bus companies (such as Caribe Tours) have routes throughout the entire Dominican Republic. It’s possible to rent a car or hire a taxi from any international airport, though we advise against driving after dark as the roads are pretty deserted in some spots. We will be happy to help you to organize your ground transportation and/or domestic flights. |

Playa Rincon, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. From January through March the area is visited by humpback whales, a not-to-be-missed natural event. And, when you’re ready to relax, enjoy a massage or a cocktail at the beach. |
