Jain Family's The Blue House®, a family owned-and-run guesthouse & roof-top restaurant, full of the love and welcome that makes India so wonderful and a trip here so unique. As an honoured guest in their home you will be afforded every luxury, comfort and convenience needed or desired to make your stay in Jodhpur, Rajasthan and India an experience you will cherish for the rest of your long life.
They live their lives and run their guest house according to strict Jain rules. This means that no alcohol, meat, fish or eggs is allowed into the house and all cuisine is strictly veg (not vegan as milk is used).
Rooms in The Blue House® are suitable for every budget and every taste. With the exception of the (x) room, all rooms have attached shower/bathrooms with running hot & cold water for the showers.

Rajasthani Folk Dances Performed for guests on most evenings. We also arrange Gala dinner with folk dances, bon-fire and cultural program with a magnificent view of Historical Mehran Garh Fort and Blue city of Jodhpur at night. |

Hello there,
My name is Ed Slater from Ireland.
I am presently backpacking my way around India with my wife. We have just spent five wonderful days in The Blue House Guest, Moti-chowk, Old City, Jodhpur. I have only good things to say about The Blue House. We arrived there after a very rough bus journey and we were absolutely shattered. The owner and his family gave us a very kind welcome and we felt relaxed from the word go. We stayed in a really ethnically decorated room with cool wall paintings and Rajastani wall hangings. It made a change from your very ordinary run of the mill room. It also had a fan, air con and private bathroom (Rs500). It was also very clean and fresh. (I certainly believe the owner when he said he paints the rooms every year). The roof top restaurant must have one of the best views of Majestic Fort in the Blue City. It appears to be higher than all the surrounding buildings and also offers a 360 degree view of the Blue City. What better place to enjoy the wonderful home cooked food. The "Blue House Special" was really delicous. I normally only eat dinner in guesthouse restaurants for one of two nights and spend the rest the time exploring other eateries about the town. But the views and food were so good, I didn't eat in one other place in Jodhpur!! Thumbs up to The Blue House!!! Regards, Ed Slater

Dear Sirs, my name is Shalom Lambert (Ireland). I am currently travelling around India for two months. Most recently I visited Jodhpur and stayed for five nights at the The Blue House, Guest House, Moti-Chowk, Old City, Jodhpur. tel: 0291 2621 396. I am writing to you to convey my delight at finding such a friendly, clean hotel. From the moment my husband and I arrived we were made feel at home and offered a warm cup of chai. The Blue House is a family run establishment and the atmosphere reflects this with its warm, friendly and very homely qualities. We were given a guided tour of all the rooms which vary in price from Rs150 to Rs750. The room we choose was very clean and comfortable, with a fan, air conditioning and a private bathroom, all for Rs500. In addition, The Blue House provides a delightful Roof Top Restaurant (Highest Roof Top in the Old City). The food here is absolutely delicious. Each night we tried something different and were never disappointed. The wonderful food is further complimented by the magnificent views of Jodhpur and the Meharangdh Fort, the friendly and efficient service, candle light and music. The Blue House has just completed expanding the Roof Top Restaurant to incude another story. In addition, there is an internet cafe beside the restaurant, also offering the magnificent views over the city. We were very happy to find this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I would certainly recommend The Blue House to future visitors to Jodhpur. Yours faithfully, Shalom Lambert (Ireland).
