Karon Art Community - the small community of emerging Thai artists have built a complex of huts, art galleries and pubs where they work and live. Buy origional art work at good prices.
Karon Circle - located on the north end of Karon it has a comemorative sculpture of workers in the tin-minning and agricultural industries.
The Kata view point - wonderful panoramic views of Kata Noi, Kata nad Karon beaches as well as the Andaman sea. Also called Khao Sam Haad or Three Beach Hill.
Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island - take a boat out to the island where the Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun was filmed.
Dina Park Mini Golf facility - a great place for families with small children.
Bar with no name Nice little bar opp. Little Mermaid hotel; near Karon Circle. Nice staff, best music and the British manager makes it a great enjoyable night out !

Karon Shopping
Karon beach has lots of street side vendors selling traditional Thai silks, sarongs and handicraft. Prachanukhao road between Patong and Karon sells magnificent hand painted copies of original masterpieces by amongst others Picasso and Van Gogh at reasonable prices.
Origional artwork can be bought at the artist community and Asian arts and crafts at the Asian Arts Emporium in Patak road near the Islandia Park Hotel.
Karon Beaches
Karon Beach - the main strech of beach with a long, clean strech of white sand and plenty of facilities and activities.
Kata beach - divided into big and small coves that is less crowded than Karon beach and is great for the whole family.

On The Rock - Marina Cottage, south end of Karon beach. Enjoy the best seafood with superb view of Karon beach.

Old Siam - Karon beach. Choose to sit on traditional floor cushions and listen to the sounds of local musicians and enjoy a royal Thai buffet every Wednesday. Admire the incredible views over the Andaman sea.
Flamingo - Patak Road. This restaurant serves dishes straight out of Italy. Savour woodfired pizza and other Italian dishes.

Kontai Pub and Seafood - Karon beach. Karon's only disco is popular with locals working in the resorts on Karon beach and plays live music in the evenings. Nong Noi Bar - Patak road west. Traditional Thai bar with local flair. Friendly Bar - Patak road east. As the name suggests a friendly atmosphere frequented by locals and tourists.
