Darwin Crocodile Farm Darwin Crocodile Farm is a croc farm that is home to more than 8000 saltwater and freshwater crocodiles. Come in the early afternoon for the croc feeding time. Many day tours are available that visitors can be part of which depart from Darwin.

Howard Springs This croc free swimming hole is surrounded by forests and is a great place to take a nice swim or spend the day relaxing. Although the springs are a bit crowded on the weekends it is worth the trip. Children will be fascinated by the fish, turtles and tame wallabies that graze around the springs.

Litchfield National Park Located 85 miles south of Darwin the Litchfield National Park is a wide sandstone plateau surrounded by cliffs. Four waterfalls and surrounding rainforest patches make this the perfect day or overnight trip. Visitors can enjoy camping or cruises of the Reynolds River system, which runs through the park.

Darwin Beaches

Mindil Beach - Around dusk on Thursday and Sunday nights during the dry season, locals begin to congregate on the beach and settle in on their tables, chairs and blankets to enjoy the evening. Thai, Sri Lankan, Indian, Chinese, Malaysian, Greek and Portuguese meals are available and sometimes one will be lucky enough to see the live entertainment.

Darwin Beaches - The area is filled with spectacular beaches including Mindil and Vestey's. Further east there is a nudist beach for the less inhibited. Visitors to the beach area should be aware to not go into the water during the wet season because of the deadly box jellyfish.

East Point Reserve - Visit this undeveloped bushland north of Fannie Bay in the late afternoon to watch the wallabies come out to feed. East Point Reserve is a relaxing and tranquil beach area where visitors can enjoy a jelly-free lake where visitors can swim as well as other scenic attractions.
