Patong Beach Shopping

Patong has an enchanting ight market located on Beach road which consits of pavement stalls selling local handicrfts, luxurious Thai silk scarves, wooden toys and luggage.

The two departmant stores on Patong beach are Ocean Plaza, with a variety of stores, a game hall and bowling ally and Robinson Department Store which is the place to buy great quality shoes and clothes.

Patong Beach - a majestic strech of sandy white beach that is surrounded by hotels, shops and restaurants. The beach is excellent for watersports, suntanning and strolling.

Kamala Beach - a lovely quint beach that has a traditional muslim fishing village on its shores.

Bingo Restaurant and Bistro - Paradise Complex Patong beach. Get a taste of Europe at this German run restaurant that serves massive double decker sandwiches, schnitzel, great coffee and even some origional Thai specialities.

Sea Hag - 78/5 Soi Perm Pong, Soi Wattana. Serving seafood and Thai food, this popular restaurant is built on two floors and has a great atmosphere.

Tavern-on-the-Hill - Thanon Ha-sip Pee. Built high up on the hillside and overlooking Patong beach, this restaurant serves Western and Thai specialities.

Jochen's - 123/4 Paradise Complex, Rat-u-Thit-road. Described as having a gallery, food and beverages. Jochen's is only a five minute walk from Patong beach and has a peaceful beergarden and serves light meals, snacks and delicious baguettes. Open 5pm till late.

Patong Beach Bars & Clubs

The Flying handbag Bar - Paradise Complex. This is the funkiest and sometimes funniest gay bar in Patong. The dress code dictates that handbags are a must.

Bannana Disco - Beach road, near Patong beach Hotel. The oldest disco in Patong with a big screen TV and laser effects. Entrance included one drink.

Safari - located on the road to Karon. The islands biggest nightclub with five bars, big screen Tv, live music and a restaurant. This club is located partly outdoors.

Dance 2000 - on the road to Karon and near Simon Cabaret. A nice Thai disco, the interior decor resembles a space ship.

Rock World - Soi Crocodile. A Thai disco where you can drink the way locals do by buying a bottle of whiskey and passing it around to your friends.
