Raa Atoll Restaurants and Bars

Fish and rice are the staple foods in the Atolls and chicken and meat are only eaten on special occasions. The local dishes include fried fish, fish curry and fish soup and the local drink is raa. This is a sweet and flavoursome toddy tapped from the crown of the palm trunk.
Coconuts grow here but there are few fruits and vegetables grown on the islands. Alcohol is only be found in the tourist resorts.

Meedhupparu Island Resort Main Restaurant, this Island resort is the only one in Raa Atoll. The main restaurant serves international cuisine in splendid surroundings. The Speciality restaurant serves a mixture of local delicacies and Eastern cuisine.

Pizza Pizza Kurumbe Village Resort. When out on an excursion round the islands if you fancy a down to earth pizza then this is the place for you. The pizzas are varied and of an excellent standard.

Ugoofaaru Teashop If you visit the island try the teashop by the hospital for a taste of the real Maldives

Piano Bar Kurumbe Village Resort. A leisurely cruise round the islands may take you to the Kurumba Village resort where the Piano Bar is a lovely place to indulge yourself with a cocktail or two in a relaxing ambience
