The most distinctive of the Maldivian handicrafts are the wooden lacquer ware made almost exclusively on BAA Atoll. Pieces of wood are hollowed out to from beautifully crafted containers, boxes and ornamental objects.
Made from the local funa, Alexandrian laurel, which grows throughout the country, they come in various shapes and sizes and are lacquered in strands of red, black and yellow resin and delicately carved with graceful flowery patterns. These are available in shops throughout Baa Atoll.

Cornum Restaurant –Coco Palm Resort offers a taste of the East with specialities from Sri Lanka and India. This is well restaurant is well worth trying if your taste in food leans to the exotic and if it doesn't try it anyway, you will probably be hooked.
Soneva Fushi Resort The main restaurant here offers an international menu to its visitors. The food is cooked and served to a high standard.
Moodhu Bar Reethi Beach. Built on stilts over the lagoon, this 24 hour coffee shop has breathtaking views.
Maakana Restaurant Royal Island Resort You can get breakfast, lunch and dinner at this restaurant. Buffets featuring different themes are available at each meal.

Conch Bar Coco Palm Resort . Have a drink, or drinks, at the Conch Bar and watch the views of the sun setting. They are nothing less than spectacular.
Lagoon Bar Coco Palm Resort In between sipping your drinks why not have a paddle in the lagoon. This is an experience not to be missed and certainly one to remember when you are back home and it's cold and wet outside.
Rasgefaanu Bar Reethi Beach. Relax in the friendly ambience of this bar and listen to the music of a visiting regional band. If you are feeling energetic there is a snooker table, table tennis and darts for the customers.
