The one bedroom apt is on the 23rd floor of a new building. Security and concierge 24hrs. Balcony faces downtown, Cathedral, Central Mercado and shorter buildings. On a clear day one can see the Andes surrounding Santiago. Nicely furnished for a true "at home" feeling. The owner met us upon our arrival, had map of mÊtro - only 200 meters from building-,. Wifi, direct TV, free local phone. Non-smoking unit. We enjoyed our 9 days stay and appreciated how close everything was either on foot - many pedestrians streets nearby- or mÊtro or Turbus system. We were in Santiago from July 4th to July 13th which is winter and took avantage of the short daylight hours by visiting many distinctive barrios. Micheline and Jordan Seattle

For my 1st time to Santiago in January 2008, my stay was great. Marcela was out standing and very accommodating. The location was perfect -- in old Santiago. You could walk everywhere and the Metro stations were less than three blocks away. The building (which looks quite new) is secure with someone always at the front desk -- not that I every felt worried about the neighborhood. I loved the pool and the roof top. What a view to see the sunrise and sunset from there!! The only thing to keep in mind is that during the summer months, ask for a fan. There is no a/c so it can get a bit warm in the apt. I definitely plan to stay there again!!

SCL Suites is all is advertises to be. We have traveled to Chile numerous times but have to say that the last trip Dec 2007 - Jan 2008 was the best. And the SCL Suite really added extra to the trip. From the pick up at the airport to the drop off for the return trip home. Marcela was very accommodating to our needs as we used the SCL Suites both upon arriving in Chile and a week before departing. The location is a great selling point. Location is ground zero to old Santiago and everything is within minutes walking distances. Minutes from Government Palace, major plazas, commercial shopping, the heart of Chile's business centre. And grocery shopping is the next street over. We felt very safe and secure and never felt uncomfortable about the surroundings. The Apartment was just right for the 2 of us. We enjoyed the rooftop pool, the great view of Santiago from the double balconies. The appliances within were A1. Microwave, frig, gas stove, toaster, Cable TV, CD Radio... All were great. Bottom line ... Would we recommend the SCL Suites

Very nice apt, conveniently located in the middle of downtown Santiago, near several major shopping centers and major sites. Included amenities make staying in the apt much more affordable and comfortable than staying at a hotel.
