| Centrally placed in Edinburgh's historic Old Town, this apartment is just above the blue shop in the photograph on the right. It is a minute's walk from the Grassmarket (at the bottom of the road in the photograph) where you can find lots of cafés, restaurants and pubs, and also Mellis (possibly the finest cheese shop in Scotland), and the Hawick Mill cashmere shop. The West Port is below Edinburgh Castle, and from the Living Room window you can see part of it on the skyline above. In fact you can climb Granny Smith's steps from the Grassmarket to Johnstone Terrace and then to the Castle (- good exercise up, and easy down!).
The apartment is an ideal base for a couple, although there is a double sofa bed in the Living Room.
